Our Team
Lesley O’Neill
Lead Physiotherapist
As the owner and founder of Back to Basics Physio I have a wealth of experience and knowledge in physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation. My 18 years experience covers both public and private sectors including the NHS, private hospitals and private clinics. I have successfully rehabilitated and treated clients within acute hospitals, clinic settings and the clients own home. I initially began my career as a Junior Physiotherapist within a Physiotherapy Department in an Acute Hospital, working my way up to a senior level. In 2007 I moved to the community as a Specialist Physiotherapist where I worked across Central Scotland in a variety of posts including specialist Stroke/Neuro Rehab, Falls and Orthopaedics. This has given me an extensive knowledge of rehabilitation within the home environment. Private Physiotherapy practice included working at a top private hospital in Edinburgh, treating people after orthopaedic surgery and working with athletes recovering from surgery for injuries sustained through their sport. I was the co-founder of a Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic treating those with musculoskeletal injuries within a clinic environment. I am also qualified to use Acupuncture for pain relief.
I hold a full membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registration with the HCPC.
